U.S. senators John Mccain and Joe Lieberman said that international community should immediately take action for Syria under the leadership of the United States.
The two senators visited tent-site in Turkey's southern Hatay province where Syrian citizens have been taking shelter since they escaped from the clashes in their country.
Mccain said in a press conference that they appreciated Turkey as it opened its doors for Syrian refugees. Noting that many countries were extending humanitarian support to opponents in Syria but it was not enough, Mccain said that international community failed to help Syrian people.

The opponents are fighting against tanks and cannonballs in an unfair war, said Mccain. Lieberman also thanked Turkey for its support to Syrian people, and said that an important number of Syrians were taking shelter in Turkey. Annan plan is a well-intentioned initiative presented by a good man like Kofi Annan, but it was responded badly by a bad man like al-Assad, said Lieberman. Lieberman said that when he returned to the U.S., he would inform the U.S. administration and the Senate about the situation, and try to convince them to give weapons to Syrian opponents to help defending themselves.
