Binali Yildirim in southeastern Sirnak province hopes for 'better days'
Prime Minister Binali Yildirim on Friday said the PKK terrorist organization would be eliminated soon.
Speaking at an opening ceremony of a mosque in southeastern Sirnak province, Yildirim said:
“PKK terror will not harm this nation anymore, it will be eliminated soon.
“You can be sure of that, as long as we keep our province, our country, our children, our future together. I hope we will have better days to come.''
The premier also spoke about the investments in Sirnak.
“The [ruling Justice and Development] AK Party government invested 10 billion Turkish liras [$2.7 billion] in Sirnak in 15 years.
''We are constructing a new road between Cizre and Sirnak that will open next year. This road will tie Sirnak to Siirt even Van,'' he added.
The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the EU and U.S..
