Special program offers business-class passengers cruise tour of Bosphorus
Turkish Airlines (THY) on Thursday announced a new program called Istanbul Bosphorus Experience that is specially designed for the national carrier's business-class passengers.
In a written statement, the airline said the program provides Bosphorus cruise tours to business-class passengers, who have a transfer time of seven or more hours in Istanbul before they continue their trip to their target destinations.
"Passengers can now discover and enjoy the cultural facets of Istanbul first-hand," Ahmet Olmustur, THY chief marketing officer, said.
"Within the framework of this service, passengers will be welcomed by a guide and receive a Prime Class welcoming when they arrive at the Istanbul Ataturk Airport," the carrier stated.
THY said a guide will take the passengers to the marinas of Eminonu or Karakoy, two prominent symbols of Istanbul; guests will also get an opportunity to tour around the Bosphorus on a private cruise.
During the cruise program, the participants will be provided beverage, snacks and Wi-Fi connection, the statement said.
"After the tour, an array of the most famous samples from the legendary Ottoman cuisine [either breakfast, lunch or dinner] will be offered to the passengers, at the historical Ciragan Palace Kempinski Hotel," the carrier said.
THY was ranked Best Airline in Southern Europe, Best Business Class Onboard Catering, World’s Best Business Class Lounge, and Best Business Class Dining Lounge within the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2017.
Olmustur said THY will continue to improve its wide range of activities and services, including its world renowned “Turkish Airlines Lounge Istanbul”.
