Turkish President Abdullah Gul's meeting with his Israeli counterpart Shimon Peres in Copenhagen on Friday was positive and friendly, the Israeli Presidency announced. The two presidents agreed to restore normal, positive and stable relations between Turkey and Israel in the past, the Israeli Presidency said. According to the Israeli Presidency, Peres thanked Gul for Turkey's efforts to develop peace in the Middle East.
