Hamdi Topcu has become the chief executive officer of the Turkish Airlines, Turkey's biggest air carrier company (THY), on Friday. THY released a statement and said Topcu would take office on January 1, 2010. Candan Karlitekin, the chief executive officer of the Turkish Airlines, has resigned, a statement from the air carrier said Thursday. "I have resigned from all my administrative and executive posts as of January 1, 2010 in the Turkish Airlines and its affiliates," Karlitekin said. Karlitekin has held the top post in Turkey's biggest airlines company since 2002.
