Turkish Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Wednesday that there was no rupture in Turkey's relations with Israel.

Commenting on the Israeli president's invitation relayed by Israeli Minister of Industry, Trade and Labor Binyamin "Fuad" Ben Eliezer, spokesman Burak Ozugergin said, "we will assess the invitation. Visits will continue in case the conditions are met."

Ozugergin said efforts were underway to enhance relations but it was evident that there were still some problems. He said the situation in Gaza was still severe.

Ozugergin said Israel-Palestine and Israel-Syria canals were congested in terms of the Middle East peace process, noting that it would not be possible for the region to achieve peace, welfare and prosperity before the two said canals were not opened.
