Turkish defense minister dismissed Saturday news reports that a deal with Israel to purchase unmanned planes for the Turkish Air Forces had been cancelled. "The deal has not been called off. We've just given Israel a 50-day deadline to fulfill a number of terms of the agreement," Vecdi Gonul told reporters. "Firstly, delivery of the planes have been delayed and the second thing is that there are certain shortcomings about the technical performance of the planes," Gonul said. "There is nothing political about it," he said.
