Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu was received by Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai in Kabul on Thursday. Karzai who was sworn into office as Afghanistan's president for another five years in a ceremony received Davutoglu. Delivering a speech in the oath-taking ceremony, Karzai said Turkey and Afghanistan were friendly countries, and they were glad that Turkish soldiers' exert efforts for peace and security in Afghanistan. Prior to his meeting with Karzai, Davutoglu visited Turkish troops in Kabul. Turkey took over Kabul regional command on October 31, 2009. Davutoglu said Turkey would keep assisting Afghanistan.
