Turkish State Minister & Chief Negotiator for EU talks Egemen Bagis said on Thursday that he had a positive and fruitful meeting with Greek Prime Minister & Foreign Minister George Papandreou. Bagis is currently in Athens to attend a conference at the International Center for Black Sea Studies (ICBSS). Bagis told reporters that he and Papandreou discussed Cyprus issue, fight against illegal migration, minority issues and Turkey's EU membership process during their meeting. Noting that he also met with Alternate Foreign Minister Dimitris Droutsas, Bagis said that they discussed the same issues in a detailed way with the minister too. Bagis also said that his meeting with former Foreign Minister Dora Bakoyannis was very positive too. Bagis will meet with Turkish journalists at Turkish Embassy in Athens on Friday morning, and then proceed to Germany.
