Turkish Foreign Ministry Spokesman Burak Ozugergin said Turkey was sincerely eager to normalise relations with Armenia.

At a weekly press conference Wednesday, Ozugergin told reporters that Turkey did not only aim at enhancing relations with Armenia, but also laying the ground for improvement in relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. He said peace and stability could not be established in Caucasus if all wheels did not turn at the same time.

"We hope that with the progress in Turkish-Armenian relations, Armenians will be relieved to see that Turkey does not have a secret agenda and hopefully this will encourage them to adopt a positive stance in settlement of their issues with Azerbaijan," said Ozugergin.
