Turkish President Abdullah Gul and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev held a telephone conversation and removed misunderstandings resulting from some emotional reactions which emerged during a tough period.

President Gul informed President Aliyev on his talks with U.S. President Barack Obama and President Dimitriy Medvedev of Russia on efforts to ensure peace and stability in the Caucasus.

The two leaders agreed that any image of weakness in Turkey-Azerbaijan relations was totally wrongful.
